Gasoline and Diesel Rates Today in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad: The prices of gasoline and diesel were again raised by the oil marketing companies. The price of petrol in Delhi today stands at Rs 98.81 per liter, an increase of 35 paise. Diesel in the capital sells today at Rs 89.18 per liter, up 28 paise since yesterday. Fuel prices have increased 32 times since May 4 and already twice this week. The price of gasoline in Delhi has increased by Rs 8.12, while the price of diesel has increased by Rs 8.76 per liter since rates started to rise. Bharat Oil Company Ltd (BPCL), Indian oil company Ltd (IOCL) and Hindustan Oil Company Ltd (HPCL) reviews fuel prices on a daily basis based on international benchmarks and exchange rates.

The cost of gasoline in Mumbai is the highest of any metropolitan city, at Rs 104.90 per liter. Diesel in the country’s finance capital costs Rs 96.72 per liter. The price discrepancy between Delhi and Mumbai is due to different prices in different cities. Gasoline and diesel prices are set on the basis of transport costs, local taxes and VAT. Gasoline has crossed the 100 rupees per liter mark in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Ladakh and in some towns in Bihar and Punjab.

-Pune: Gasoline price – Rs 104.48 per liter; Diesel price – Rs 94.83 per liter

-Bengaluru: Gasoline price – 102.11 Rs per liter; Diesel price – Rs 94.54 per liter

-Hyderabad: Gasoline price – Rs 102.69 per liter; Diesel price – Rs 97.20 per liter

-Noida (UP): Gasoline price – 96.08 per liter; Diesel price – Rs 89.67 per liter

-Mohali (Punjab): Gasoline price – Rs 100.88 per liter; Diesel price – 92.11 per liter

-Chandigarh: Gasoline price 95.03 Rs per liter; Diesel price – Rs 88.81 per liter

-Gurugram (Haryana): Gasoline price – Rs 96.52 per liter; Diesel price – Rs 89.78 per liter

The price of crude oil fell on Tuesday as covid-19 continues to hit estimates of future demand. August Brent crude futures were trading at $ 74.58 per barrel. Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate futures in August were at $ 72.77 a barrel, according to Reuters.
